Just got home from work--I got in a little late today, so I stayed a while longer....I don't know what happened: I felt fairly okay when I went in, and everything was going fine until about 10:00...and then I just started getting the worst sinus headache I've had in AGES. I swear my skull aches, and Tylenol and Sudafed isn't doing anything. Blech. I'm gonna go to sleep.

Hopefully I get some actual rest tonight instead of that 13-hour pretend-sleep from last night.

The illustrious [livejournal.com profile] siliconedreamer, Great White Hunter of all things cool and unusual, pointed out in his music blog, Radio2019, that Chris Cunningham--twisted director of the amazing "Come To Daddy" and Rubber Johnny videos for Aphex Twin--has created a new video for The Horrors' "Sheena Is A Parasite".

Witness the strobe-lit, betentacled horror here!

But when you watch it, shut the sound on the video completely off. The song is unbearably bad. Why Chris Cunningham liked this 1.25-minute-long piece of amateurish garage-punk bullshit enough to make a video for it, I'll never know--but it really doesn't matter, though, because the video is just awesome.

I'm seriously thinking about stripping the soundtrack from the video and synching a Nyarlathotep song to it, which would probably be a hell of a lot more appropriate.

I had to come home early from work today. Not because I feel particularly bad--my throat's still a little rusty, and my sinuses definitely need a shot of Sudafed to ramp down the pressure a bit--but because I am so unbelievably enervated, for some reason, I could barely stand up at work to walk down to the bathroom and piss. And all you have to do to piss is STAND THERE and let it happen!

It's kind of odd that I feel so lifeless, and at the same time don't feel legitimately bad. Of course, as I noted earlier, I haven't had even the slightest rhinovirus action in nearly a year...so maybe I forgot that this is what it's supposed to feel like for a while? I seriously don't remember feeling like I'm going to pass right out every time I stand up, though. I think something that strange I'd remember....

The one thing I fear--which is actually very, very unlikely--is that something may have kicked the Epstein-Barr virus in my system into high gear. For those of you who don't know, E-B is thought to be the cause of both chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia: the two almost always go together. I've been surprisingly lethargic for years, but...then again, I've always been a big sleeper. I've never been diagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome before--only fibromyalgia--so there's a much better chance that it's not that. Hopefully this'll pass by tomorrow, regardless.
