DANCE EPIDEMIC TONIGHT.

Oh, good lord, Electric Six at Mr. Small's Tonight completely and utterly rocked my ass to pieces.
They opened up with "Improper Dancing"--one of my favorite songs on Fire, leaped right into "Dance Epidemic" (which I still swear is the New Wave dance song of Summer 2006)...and just kept rocking. And rocking. And rocking. They did all the most rocking songs from Fire and Senor Smoke--including, of course, "GAY BAR" (to which I completely freaked out), "Future Boys," and the best electro-disco song I've ever heard, "The Future is In the Future"--PLUS, they played a bunch of new tracks from their forthcoming album, which will be out in September. "Pulling the Plug on the Party" and "I Buy the Drugs" are completely awesome jams and I am totally stoked for their next album now.
Holy shit, the rockamaroll was beyond belief.
The one opening band, Priestess, was amazing, too. The reincarnation of hair metal! THey looked like AC/DC, too.
