My "ideal woman" according to match.com:

Yeah...it's Emily Bronte.

OK, yes, she's been dead for almost two centuries, but come on: she was cute as hell in that early-Victorian fashion that I find so incredibly alluring, and she wrote Wuthering Heights, truly one of the most bitter, vicious, and sophisticated Gothic novels of all time. Were I able to reainmate or digitally recreate my literary heroes and heroines, she'd probably be among the first--right after H. P. Lovecraft and Charles Baudelaire.

I can only imagine what a great time would be had sitting around the ol' parlor, guzzling tea and absinthe, with those three would be....

Heh. I wish! Unfortunately, I don't believe they have records for women dead since the early 1800s. :)

Actually, I've seen a meme going around that match.com can offer up photos of folks "ideal" man or woman based on certain appearance questions or something like that....I find it kind of a dumb idea because, as far as *I* am concerned, I simply don't have some kind of "ideal" partner, at least as far as physical traits are concerned. I have a few slight physical predilections--long, dark hair and fair eyes being the only really notable ones--but I've always found ideality to be more of a *mental* construct than anything else. THAT is a whole 'nother story, as they say! I am quite picky in that regard.

Knowing who my literary idols are--and having read them as well--is an excellent starting point!

I'd be down with reanimating Baudelaire, even though he'd probably just drink himself right back to the grave.

But finding his remains? I tried to find his tombstone when I was in Paris, but could not find it. Despite having it placed on a map of the cemetery, I couldn't figure out which was his; the text on most of the old graves in the cemetery he's in are eroded and illegible.

Probably end up reanimating the french equivalent of Baldrick.

Renimated Baudelaire would be an interesting time....There would certainly be a truly heroic amount of booze involved, definitely, but if we could keep him from drinking himself to death within three hours of reboot I think he'd be a great conversationalist!

I'm sure Charles would just be thrilled to know that his gravestone has become completely illegible.
