Spent a very relaxing, very enlightening day with raincrystal talking about poetry, plot dynamics in surrealist fiction, and making paper cut-outs at the Tuscany Cafe with Seth, who has proven, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that he is The Man(tm).

Went to Ceremony tonight.

Got severely drunk.

Danced with a few cute chicks, but mostly just pounded the floor to Depeche Mode's "Enjoy the Silence" and Ministry's "Just One Fix" and a few other oldskool delights. I also got to see a number of good friends whom I haven't had the chance to actually hang out with in faaaaaarrrrrrr too long (I'm looking at you dustin23 and benhob).

And I realized...all my friends may very well be right: I very well might not be the worthless piece of perennially heartbroken garbage that I almost always feel like.

Oh, and wolff? Hope you got the message I left on your voicemail.

Derek, you're not a worthless piece of anything- I think you're the greatest guy, despite the demons which haunts all of us. If I didn't think you were worth the time, I wouldn't bother with you at all.

And I would have called if it hadn't been for the fact that Andrey and I didn't get home from our road trip til midnight!! We got back to pgh at 10, then went to nakama and had dinner with a bunch of rediculous yuppies who we all hated. Next time, let's find eight people and we'll all go and get our own table. That way, no annoying ex-sorority girls with matching Tiffany bracelets. I wanted one of those but those girls make me hate them. I know I'd rock it and look stylin' but please, who wants the association?

On my way home today, I saw a symbol on the street which looked like...

The Evil X Yo-Yo!!

Yep. And it was even in red. (I don't know what that symbol actually means if it's on the street... I've never really noticed it before, but I suspect it's some kind of pipeline marking or whatever.)
