The Stillness
Dec. 6th, 2003 12:12 amThe stillness of a winter's night in the middle of nowhere hear is utterly awe-inspiring. You can actually hear the moonlight tinkling along the edges of the frostdaisies sprayed all over the grass.
If I could only capture that external stillness inside me, maybe I'd live longer. I'll take anything over the hot white static roar.
Fortunately, even spending a little time out in the soulfreezing cold is sometimes enough to stabilize things for just a little while.

Date: 2003-12-09 10:39 pm (UTC)I'm a bit fond of the old phallic structures meself--been nursing for some years a plan to roll two giant-sized concrete balls up to the base of the Washington Monument to finally "complete" the thing, as it were....

Date: 2003-12-09 04:23 am (UTC)There's something really beautiful about this entry, the way you've described the scene.
Living in the bustle of the downtown core I don't get much opportunity to experience things like that. Thanks for sharing...
