The Cyberpegritz
Nov. 11th, 2005 06:29 pmI really don't give a shit about the new Dr. Who series--it's funny, and I've certainly enjoyed the few episodes I've gotten to see...but the good Doctor just never did anything for me in the past, and still really doesn't do much more than give me a chuckle and a shrug.
But.
The new "cybermen" from the show look pretty awesome.
Seriously, folks...when I get my new robot body in, like, twenty years, I totally want it too look like that crossed with a Cylon. Vocoded voice a must. Ohyeah, and anti-human stun guns and/or poison gas sprayers, 'cause I don't want any of you annoying meat puppets troubling me in my sleek new robothood. Ohyeah, and a gigantic electronic wang--just for show. Can't forget that, really.

Date: 2005-11-12 04:58 pm (UTC)the Daleks were pretty awesome, since they looked just as cheap and clunky as the original robot/killers from the old series
and my favorite of all was the episode where they go to see the end of the Earth and meet "the last human", a creature completely flattened by countless 'cosmetic surgeries' that by this date in the future to be a perfect human you have to have no nose, no chin, no wrinkles, no feet... .just a flat face and bleached blood.... such an amusing homage to Michael Jackson and what direction we are headed towards as far as descriptions of 'perfect people'
