So I just found out I don't have any classes this Spring at Cal U. They made a mistake and consulted a partial listing of my Fall schedule instead of my Spring schedule the other day when they told me I had two classes for the Spring semester. I may get picked up later, of course, as they are still adding classes and probably will be doing so until the end of December. Maybe I'll get lucky. Hopefully I will.

If not: goodbye, medical insurance. Goodbye, credit rating (what little of you remains). Goodbye, leaving the house.

And goodbye, teaching career. In order to make ends meet, I'm probably going to take a completely unrewarding graphic design job just to make minimum wage, since I am waaaaaaay too overqualified now to apply to virtually any other job on earth.

Provided I don't just eat a handful of Vicodin and Klonopin and chemically lobotomize myself. Which is looking more and more appealing every day. I'm so sick of being awake.

Ohyeah, I had to cancel most of my classes today, too, because I've spent the last 12 hours coughing my lungs out in chunks and can barely speak.

Yeah: one. I may pick up another one, and I hope I do--because then I'll be making a big phat extra $300 a month instead of $150. Woo.

BTW: I dig the pirate look! And, oddly enough, I'm listening to Split Enz, "Six Months in a Leaky Boat," too!

Heh. Thanks. That was on Halloween at work. We were allowed to break away from the awful khakis and polo shirts for a day. It was fun.

I ran around most of the week before Halloween wearing an eyepatch and my buddy Joe's old Jolly-Roger doo-rag and telling my students I would keelhaul them. Man, now I wish I *would've* done so to a few of 'em! They bloody well deserved it.
