I was only in town yesterday, but a lot of great stuff happened.

First of all, I met with [livejournal.com profile] illusion_of_joy and [livejournal.com profile] missjoi at the Beehive to pick up the tracks for Illusion of Joy's next album, Division, which HPL Laboratories will be putting out soon...and lemme tell you, folks, those tracks are The Bomb(tm). Pure oldskool Goth rock with an excellent political mentality and great, dancefloor-friendly beats. It is all good. [livejournal.com profile] illusion_of_joy, if you still want to help out with the HPL Labs webpage, too, your assistance will be most welcome!

After that, hung out with [livejournal.com profile] alternakittyn and her friend Chris--a most excellent fella with great taste in music, quite a bit of artistic talent (his portrait of Dorian Gray is flatout awesome), and career goals very similar to mine. The world can never have too many collegiate English teachers, after all! Finished most of the evening off at the Squirrel Cage in Squill, where the conversation drifted between Shakespeare, Howard Bloom, zombie movies, memorable poo stories, and General Insanity(tm).

Finally, closed out the night with [livejournal.com profile] blackcatbon, who thankfully is as much a nocturnal creature as I am. It was very nice. Just remember this, B: TIDE OF KITTENS! I may actually have an old, old, old MS Paint cartoon of the devil kittens someplace....Let me see if I can find that.

Well...now it's back to grading, uhh, 30- or 40-some papers. *le sigh* Hopefully, later on tonight I'll have some time to work on some of the newer NYARLATHOTEP tracks as well as finish "Schwarzkat" and maybe one or two more A Doctrine of Works songs, as well. Christ, in the last four or five months I've written damnear three or four hours of wickity-whack music, which I think is more than I've written in the last four years. It feels damn good being prolific....If I actually had the time to do more, I'd be putting out three or four albums a month, like Muslimgauze or Merzbow.

That's what I ultimately hope to do: have such a huge excess of music recorded that even long after I'm dead someone will still be releasing "new" stuff by me.

Either that, or record my brain into a computer, so that even after "death" I can technically just keep going. I would hope my software would be installed in a Korg Triton or something.

Don't forget: they breathe fire, too!

I still have to find that illustration....Maybe I'll just recreate it. I haven't had fun with MS Paint in a while.

Sure, I'll help with the website. Just tell me what you want posted and I'll see what I can throw together.
