Father forgives us for what we must do
You forgive us, we'll forgive you
We'll forgive each other 'til we both turn blue!
Then we'll whistle and go fishin' in heaven.

--"Fish and Whistle," by John Prine.

I can't think of a better way to spend my time in the afterlife....Sitting on the bank of a skycolored pond, trailing a fishing line in the glass-smooth water, propped up in a lawnchair with my feet in the cool grass, a little boombox next to me playing some old bluegrass or Skinny Puppy (you know, they're interchangeable) or maybe Mazzy Star, and a laptop propped up on my....uhh, lap, while I write page 10,002 of my Complete History of All Things Spooky and Weird.

You know....I've been there, come of think of it. It's called Ohiopyle. Man, I can't wait for the weather to heat up a little now....

I need to spend a day in the woods SO BAD. I cannot wait for the first -real- signs of spring. We've gotten some fake signs down here in NJ, but I want 50 degree+ weather, damnit!

Tell me about it. The weather here in the West (of Pennsylvania) has been *slowly* and gradually improving of late....The temperatures are less violent, and the weather itself has been fairly decent. That damned groundhog is full of shit. He was probably hungover from the night before.

I was outside a little while ago wandering around my yard, playing with the outside cats, and I just had on a light jacket. Of course, my allergies are now going crazy, but still...it was worth it.

I can't wait until spring is in full bloom so I can go up into the mountains with my wildflower book and see what all's in flower.

That sucks that you have allergies :/
I used to have them and I -thought- they were from pollen, but as it turns out they were from smoking (and a combination of pollen). So now that I can climb trees without a box of tissues under one arm.
