Music has awesome effects on the brain.

Better than Prozac, yo.

Now, I just need to figure out how to make Nyarlathotep songs either A) make people go batshit crazy like a good Sutter Cane novel; or 2) cause incredible paranoia and unease.

I'd heard about that stuff a little while ago--my friend Megan was using it, I think, to calm her houseful of cats don, and apparently it works really, really well! My Christy doesn't pee anywhere or anything like that, but she often acts like she's totally on crack, so I might have to invest in some of this stuff.

Stravinsky's "Rite of Spring" and Nijinsky's choreography caused riots opening night in Paris....

I know! And I just don't get it...."Rite of Spring" is sooooooooo not riot-worthy. On the other hand, I can't hear Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture without literally wanting to leap out of my seat and go bomb something.

well, yeah, it's certainly tame by todays metric...

I remember talking to my Dad about NIN, and he said, "give it 10 years, and it will be elevator music".

Have you ever read The Atrocity Exhibition?

Somehow I can't see that you'd have missed that one, but if you have, I'll lend it to you.
