Going Out, Going Home
Feb. 29th, 2004 02:02 amWent to Ceremony this evening for the first time in a while. It was quite pleasant--I got to see a number of my old friends, including Dave, Ray, Jamie, Dustin, and so forth, and also got to dance to some Skinny Puppy and The Rapture and some oldskool goth-rock--but now I'm bushed and ready to pass out here on the couch at Shadyhaus. Heh. Admittedly, I did have a few beers, and some tequila...but I was in no way UltraDrinking(tm)--something that I am no longer in any way capable of--but after the previous night's six or seven Woodchucks, I'm all about keeping it lowkey. Still, any booze intake, however, leaves me all sleepy and sluggish at the end of the night.
Tomorrow...I go home. *Le sigh* Back to the bloody grind of paper after paper after paper--BUT! I'm cutting myself off at 8pm regardless of whether or not I get through them all. I can finish the remaainder easily at school the next day; I reserve the rest of Sunday night to watching Godzilla movies, playing old Atari games emulated on my computer, and--speaking of Atari stuff--finishing up the four or five Retarded Atari songs I'm working on!
This weekend was alltogether very enjoyable and relaxing. I spent my time in wonderful company (you know who you are! ;)), played Mario Kart, got extremely caffeinated and fairly drunx0red as well, hit up the Record Exchange and further added to my CD addiction, and...uhhh, just generally chilled out very nicely after a hectic week.
Ohyeah, and addendum to self: Look for Schoolhouse Rock song, "Little Twelvetoes," online tomorrow. Somebody somewhere has to have an mp3 of this song--and I must have it! I sense a cover coming upon me....
