The lowpitched crackling
Apr. 1st, 2004 12:06 amis the sound of my braincase fracturing as my meninges and subcranial blood vessels slowly expand, adding pressure on top of pressure to my already crowded skull....
It's migraine time again, folks.
I left work earlier, popped some extramegastrength aspirin and Dramamine, and am currently wearing a cap full of ice in the hopes of maybe heading this beast off before it turns into full-fledged doom...but it doesn't look good. I can still see the computer screen, but the lamp behind me is pushing whitehot needles into the corners of my eyes and the nauseous little sparklies have started in the hot wet straws of the ol' optic nerves.
If this headache goes to Terror Alert Red then this will officially be Migraine Number 2 of 2004--which is kind of alarming...since I usually get two of 'em per year, and that's usually spaced out over months and months. This may or may not bode well for The Amazing Mechan-O-Pegritz. We'll see.
Right now, I'm just going to bed.
