So it looks like I'm going to have to go out to Penn State both today and tomorrow in order to administer make-up finals. I can't exactly fault the students for whom I must do this, as they all have perfectly valid reasons for having to take it today or tomorrow, but this totally complicates things in terms of grading deadlines. *le sigh*
Also: I had the strangest dream last night. It was turkey season/Thanksgiving, and there were all these huge, violent turkeys trapped in my house, and I had to hunt them down one by one before they destroyed something. (Mind you, I loathe the very idea of hunting anything but human, so I wasn't too happy about this situation.) BUT! What would've been a distasteful but otherwise simple operation was made vastly more difficult by the facts that 1) the turkeys would explode like flame-filled balloons when struck by a .30-.06 shell; and 2)--even worse--the turkeys' feathers had the miraculous ability to spawn more turkeys if they flew off an exploding turkey and stuck in a wall or the floor or something, much like a hydra's teeth.
Ohyeah, and Motley Crue was playing the whole time. "Girls Girls Girls."
I think I've finally gone off the deep end. At least in my dreams.
