Cal U Update
Aug. 2nd, 2005 05:09 pmI turned in my contract today. Tomorrow, I turn in the big pile of payroll forms and stuff. And then I will officially be a full-time adjunct, Maker of the Phat Dollar-Signs, and slave to the printed word.
This Thursday, I've a session with the electronic reference librarian at good ol' Manderino Library to learn exactly how their computer catalogue system works. Also, I've a meeting with the library's director of student outreach or whatever she is to organize training sessions for each of my classes. Barb Sabo and...dang, I can't think of the other lady's name--the two head librarians--are also going to update me on all the new stuff Manderino has access to these days, including huge numbers of online databases and other cool stuff that will not only be useful to me, it might also be useful to my students...if they pay attention. Heh.
I've got to finish up my class revisions and make up my schedules, but I figure I'll do that next week once I know exactly what all will be going on at the Library.
I really can't wait for the semester to start now.
