We are so out of touch....Yeah.
Oct. 26th, 2005 08:34 amThe mysterious Doom Snow destroyed my life yesterday. Everywhere you looked around Lambert, Uniontown, and Environs...huge, filthy clots of snow hanging from everything, snapping branches, bringing down entire trees. I've been without internet service since yesterday morning and fucking Atlantic Broadband can't even be reached. I'm writing this now at the Library at Cal U--fortunately, the snow and random ice spots melted sometime last night, and the last of the fallen trees have been sawed away or just rudely shoved off the roads into the ditches. True, I got caught up on a lot of grading yesterday, but still...I now have a backlog of thirtyfive papers that I received through email to go through. Joy.
At least I'm not sick. Whatever temporary funk I had Monday night was gone completely yesterday morning. Now I'm just relentless tired, as usual, and wracked with fibromyalgic pain--but that's just par for the course these days.
Tonight I get to drop the Lovecraft Bomb at the horror-lit class here at Cal, though, so I'm pretty psyched about that! And, since the weather seems to be improving, looks like I'll be able to get to Cleve Land this weekend after all....Good times.
