I've now waded pretty deep into the content of the Orion's Arm community and...quite frankly, I am absolutely AMAZED at the sheer amount and depth of content provided by the site. Indeed, the site aims to describe the history and conceptual framework of terragen sapience (both human, animal, alife, ai, and so forth) for the next ten thousand years, so naturally you'd expect the site to be fairly high-bandwidth in terms of informational density--but when I first came across the site last night, I'd figured it would be a fairly rich, but still mostly undeveloped and/or unexplored milieux. WRONG. The site has apparently been under development for some time now, and the sheer amount of development that has gone into it, to create a full immersive fictional reality, is staggering. My own neurologics feel like they're going to start boiling and surging out of my ears in an attempt to process and store all the info I've absorbed over the last few hours....

I would really like to get involved with the project, but I honestly don't know what I'll be able to contribute.

For example, the site contains:

1) A complete history of terragen civilizations dating from the dawn of written history to approximately 10K years into the future.
2) A breakdown of every possible form of sapient, transapient, artificial intelligence, xenosapient, and so forth in the entire Civilized Galaxy, ranging from the level of subsapient animals all the way up to trans-post-beyond-understanding AI Gods who can literally bud off new universe when they feel like it.
3) A catalogue of every freakin' known settled world in the Orion Arm of the Galaxy, and every known political organization, federation, or clade.
4) Stories, vignettes, and even a serialized novel.
5) Visual art.
6) A hyperextensive timeline of the civilizations
