Kraftwerk's Computerwelt ist Musik von dem Zukunft.
Yeah, I know, my German is horribly rusty....Been spending too much time learning littleknown Eastern Euro tongues like Croat, the Language of Ethnic Cleansing, and Romanian, the Language of Vampirism and Extreme Cynicism. Anyway, Kraftwerk's Computer World is the music of the future. Still. Even after...christ, twentyfour years. The album came out in 1981, and was made only using primitive analog synths, but it--much like Numan's The Pleasure Principle and Telekon--still sounds like what I've always imagined the music of 2050 will be like.
Tron should've been completely scored with Kraftwerk music. Seriously. How awesome would Tron be if the movie opened with "Home Computer" or "Der Mensch-Maschine"? I can answer that in one word: EXTRAORDINARILY. And why wasn't "Die Roboten" (the bumpin' dance version from The Mix) the fucking themesong to I, Robot?
When is the future actually going to get here, for christ's sake? It's already 2005 and I can't easily fly to the moon, I don't have a robot valet, and most rock music sounds like Grand Funk Railroad Reprised.
