Hard-drive failure. That's apparently the fate of the Sony desktop. I ran CHKDSK on it last night when I went to sleep and when I woke up a little while ago, there my monitor was, black as death, with a single grey line of text at the top: BOOT DISK FAILURE.

What a pain in my fucking ass. Now I have to run this thing back to Pittsburgh to get the hard-drive changed and, maybe, checked out in general.
