As the year draws to a close--finally--I've come to name 2005 the Year of the Final Disillusionment. Last year was the Year of Desperation, 2003 was the Year of Despair, 2002 the Only Normal Year of My Life....Well, you get the picture.

I'm betting 2006 is going to be the Year that Nothing Much Happens. Or it goddamned well BETTER BE.
