oneirophrenia | More on Firefox Memory Problems

A month and a half ago, as I was researching the memory leak problem I mentioned earlier, I naturally went to this thread on the MozillaZine forums, which was full of a number of tricks and means by which you can check to see what might be causing huge amounts of memory usage. I've tried them all--including some new ones that have apparently been added since the last time I visited--and none of them have worked for me. Most are pretty commonsense suggestions involving, say, memory-hog plug-ins and helper apps like Adobe Reader...but none of those apply to me. But they may apply to other folks! So if you haven't tried out some of these suggestions, check 'em out: they may very well work for you!
