Kill Bill 2 and CD annoyance

oneirophreniais COMPLETELY awesome. Just saw it tonight with the crew, and...I was blown away. It's a much more substantial film than Volume 1, which was a wonderful action film though a bit shallow in terms of character development. Volume 2 is the logical extension of the first, though, and focuses a lot more in filling in the backstory of the first while still providing a great deal of action and extremely good character depth. Plus, the music just fucking ROCKS. Quentin Tarantino adapts some of my favorite Ennio Morricone themes from Sergio Leone westerns (particularly The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly and A Fistful of Dollars, as well as laves the film in great old 70's blaxploitation-style music and Asian pop tracks.
Oh...and Pai Mei is the coolest character ever seen in a Tarantino film. His beard is so bad-assed.
On the other hand, though...it would seem that the brandnew CD burner I bought for my computer three weeks ago is having problems. Or I've encountered a surprisingly bad run of CD-Rs. This has not only adversely impacted the release of the new Illusion of Joy CD, but may also mean that the pile of presentation CDs I delivered to Penn State today may be fucked as well. Gods, I hope not...because if that thing is jacked up, there will be hell to pay.
Nyarlathotep photoshoot tomorrow, though, so off to bed for me now...or shortly, at least.
