I Miss You

You know...I've always liked Blink-182. I have a soft spot in my heart for goofy, flippy-floppy highschool punk that's short on intelligence but long on fun and catchy melodies--and Blink-182 do that better than anyone else. And yet...lately, they seem like they're actually maturing. Certainly, their songs are becoming a lot more well-crafted and intelligent in terms of musical composition and orchestration. I've always thought their drummer was fantastic, but lately he's been turning more and more creative in his rhythms, and who would've ever thought that I'd eventually find any of Blink-182's lyrics to be amazing? And I mean amazing in the sense of being actually good, not just funny and silly and catchy.

Sure...nothing revolutionary--but really freakin' good for a pop-punk band. They strike a little too close to home to me right now, too, but I've rather appreciated them for some time now.

Have you seen the video for the song? Totally different from all their others. Suits and all, except the drummer.

Yeah--they look just like Placebo in that video! It's pretty fly. :) And I dig the filthy girl rolling around on the stairs....Man, you can never get enough of that.

And, yeah, I'll be out at the electro-New-Wave night at the Upstage, I believe!

Their drummer is fantastic because he used to be an Aquabat [Eh, so the new site isn't finished yet, but when it is, I fully expect...er...command you to visit. You'd love them.]
