The Mission!
Aug. 1st, 2004 10:45 pmI'll go more into the weekend past's bizarre constellation of drama, scariness, awesomeness, and annoyance tomorrow when I have more time (I'm currently working on revising my syllabi for the upcoming semester), but for now I must delineate the things that I simply must do in the near future:
Get sea salt for my hermit crab, The Crawling Chaos. Vanessa gave me the most awesome gigantic hermit crab to live on my desk and be all eldritch, but his species does better in the presence of salt water as opposed to fresh water...so I must find pure sea salt (not that crazy-ass enriched stuff that yuppies take to make their penises bigger or their wallets softer and more supple) to add to his environment.
Get out to Penn State Fayette and find out why the hell I haven't gotten my contracts in the mail yet. Also, I need to see some folks out there in the bookstore about getting my textbooks ordered....
Watch The Future is Wild, a 3-DVD set about the future evolution of life on earth that I've been wanting to see for ages and just picked up at Best Buy today.
Finish up the two new musical tracks I started for Caitlin R. Kiernan's new novel, The Dry Salvages.
Sleep.
