In a word: HOTT. (Yes...with two T's.)

Man...when the hell did Kelly Osbourne become so goddamned hot? I remember her being this slightly tubby little teenage punk girl...not much different than any of the tubby little teenage punk girls that clot up every Hot Topic, except that Kelly Osbourne was English and actually funny at times.
But now?
My gods, it's like the Image Gods literally reached down and shaved away all the goofy teenybopper punk stylings to reveal an incredibly attractive Brit-pop/eurobeat chanteuse. Her new album, Sleeping in the Nothing, is really fucking GOOD, too. The music is 100% New Wave and oftimes reminiscent of Kylie Minogue or Annie, but slightly more guitar-heavy...which, combined with Ms. Osbourne's voice, actually gives the album a really pronounced Missing Persons-meets-Gwen Stefani kind of feel. Flippin' AWESOME, I'm telling you!
Check out the dance single "One Word." It's just great. It should be played at Ceremony every weekend. Period.
And I totally owe
siliconedreamer for this knowledge. Seems he heard about the new album on some website someplace, and decided to pick it up on Saturday, just to see if it lived up to the hype. We put it in my car's CD player with great trepidation, but were literally floored by "One Word." So impressive--especially since neither of us expected it to amount to anything.

Date: 2005-06-14 05:47 pm (UTC)OMG, you are right. It is fucking GOOD. I just have to erase all those episodes of "The Osbournes" from my brain, because those two ideas will not co-exist peacefully there.
