I got my hard-drive full of music and backups back from Drive Savers today. So far--and I've only gone through a bit of it so far--they managed to recover all of my musical works, my school information, and what looks to be all of my mp3 collection. I can now listen to all my jams once again, and I have the six finished Malpractice tracks back...as well as all my more-or-less-up-to-date grading info and a number of useful handouts. They put all of it on a 200gb Maxtor external drive. Soon it will all be backed up onto, like, 100 DVD+Rs. And next Friday, when I have some money again, I'm going to be another 200gb internall drive for my file server and back the entire external drive up onto that fucker, too. No way in fucking hell am I ever going through this shit again.

But don't think I'm talking shit on Drive Savers. They do VERY good work, and are all very nice people to work with. They just bend you over and Goatse your ass for the privilege. With the amount of ass-pounding I've gotten in the past few months, you could probably drive a flatbed truck carrying a double-wide trailer up my rectum.

$2502.

You may want to consider just breaking into Eide's and stealing everything you need recovered. It would be cheaper.

I'm glad to hear you're on your way to recovery. I cannot even fathom the stress you went through. I'd probably just say 'Oh-well' and then jump off a cliff with a bomb strapped to my head.

Hang in there :)
