Don't expect it to work though.

The problem is that these are only resolvable if the computer knowns that it should be looking at different root name servers. Which is basically what these fellas are doing - they're cloning the current RDNS dbs and wedging on their own db. So yeah...

People have been doing this for several years now. In fact, a few years ago someone tried to make a commercial proposition out of this but it crashed and burned because well... basicaly it was useless and only worked with web browsers (you needed a plugin). The only way they'll get this to work is if they can someone how get ICANN to crack open the RDNS service - which would be a generally bad idea.

Yeah, I read about that in another article concerning UnifiedRoot that I just googled up a little while after reading the original. I like the general concept, but the implementation would be a real pisser considering the you'd have to do a lot of tweaking at the RDNS level, and that would just be more trouble right now than it's worth.
