That's prettymuch how I'm currently feeling. Work at the newspaper tonight was a beast--I ended up doing something close to forty projects, I believe, because of course when I'm not there on Thursday and Friday nothing ever seems to get done and the work backs up like bilge in the hull of a sinking garbage scow. Nonetheless, after five straight hours of designing, proofing, and fixing the one girl's completely idiotic mistakes (she doesn't make many, but makes up in quality what she lacks in quantity), I am flatout burnt.
Fortunately, I have Debussy's "La Mer" and Conjure One's debut album to smooth me out now and get me ready for the inevitable coma. I find these lines from Conjure One's "Manic Star" to be particularly soothing right now:
One day is one day less to live
I want you to be my sedative....
I need more pretty, swirly music in my life, I think. Been listening to waaaaaaaayyyy too much oldskool hiphop and completely insane click'n'glitch crap lately. Otto von Schirach and Schneider TM are starting to demyelinize my nerves. I may even find myself digging out some old Black Tape for a Blue Girl CDs here soon.
